Same problem as the rest of you. Playing on Xbox Series X with Valhalla v1.6.2.
Killed 1st captain and confirmed.
Killed 2nd captain (in Katzenelnbogen) and confirmed the kill successfully.
Completed the raid, then moved onto another location on the same river (Rhine).
A green quest marker appeared on the Katzenelnbogen location, indicating I needed to kill captain 2 (the one I'd just killed and confirmed).
Given the number of players reporting this is in this thread, it's surprising there isn't a fix for this yet.
Hi Everyone,
Each Tuesday, I launch my most current saved game, then go to the in-game Animus Store to collect my free item.
The first week, I saw the loot box animation and successfully claimed my free item. Hoorah!
However, since then I've not been able to claim any of the free Tuesday items.
I see a countdown (6 days) and choose to redeem, but the loot box animation isn't displayed, nor do I have a new item in my in-game inventory.
It acts as though I've already redeemed the freebie for the current week...but I haven't.
I've tried restarting my Xbox Series X console, even unplugging it & holding down the power button. No joy.
Would really appreciate any help! Thanks!
Checked on Xbox Series X yesterday, after installing update 1.2.0. Photo Mode is still broken, unfortunately.
@sdalglish30
Yep, same problem here. My wolf solely stays in & around the longhouse in Raventhorpe. I've never been able to summon (select) him, nor has he ever followed me. The associated Ability icon remains grey (unavailable) under all circumstances.
I was so excited when I learned I'd have a wolf companion, but it's been nothing but disappointment since then.
Given that my Eivor is well over level 300, it seems the wolf companion will be a promise not kept.

Greetings,
Is anyone else unable to download their Valhalla in-game photos from the official ACV Photo Mode website (https://www.ubisoft.com/en-us/game/assassins-creed/valhalla/photomode)?
I've been successfully downloading photos since the game was released...but not today.
Previously, a pop-up window would be displayed, I'd select my desired download destination and the photo would be saved locally.
Today when I go to a photo and click on it's download button, nothing happens. No pop-up window and no error message. Just...nothing.
As always, I'm using Firefox browser and have pop-up blockers disabled.
I also tried Microsoft Edge browser, but have the same problem there.
The only thing that I know has changed is my operating system. Previously, I used Windows 10, but have recently changed to Windows 11.
Thanks for any help!

@Ubi-Gouda Thanks for replying to my plea for help!
Here's some additional info that may be give clues...
I have never seen any type of error message when attempting to collect the weekly free item. On the Xbox Series X, I press the "X" button to redeem and...nothing happens.
I've provided a screenshot below, that I took last week. This is what my "Exclusive Offers" tile looks like at all times...before loading my saved game and after loading my saved game. The tile always appears "live" (not greyed out) even after I click on it and the countdown is always displayed.
I regularly play ACV on 2 different XSX consoles and the Free Item behavior is identical on both machines.
Interestingly, there's another person who just started playing ACV on those same 2 consoles - and they've been able to collect the free item every Tuesday by simply loading their saved game and going to the Animus Store.
I wondered if it is related to the size of the save file or the total number of hours played, so I loaded my very first save file (Nov 2020, 1 hr 25 min played). Unfortunately, I was still unable to claim a free item. My most current save file is at 692 hours.
Thank you,
Sp33dyKat
Your reply gave me inspired me today, @XBL_Laberbacke. I have a wireless keyboard connected to my Xbox Series X console, so tried to redeem this week's freebie using the keyboard.
I used the keyboard to perform these steps:
Anyone that's having this freebie problem on Xbox may want to give this a try, assuming you have a keyboard you can connect to your console.
Would love to hear if this works for others.
Obviously, this still needs to be fixed, but I think this will be a very helpful clue towards solving the mystery.
Best of luck, everyone!

I'm playing on PC and I wouldn't get anything if I used a controller and pressed the buttons shown on screen. I had to use keyboard and mouse. Yes, I know that it's not helpful for a console player but I felt like saying something.
@Ubi-Keo Could we please have an updated status on this problem? It definitely isn't fixed and loading an earlier saved game isn't a viable solution for everyone.
Thank you
@Ubi-oof Happy I could contribute! Thanks for passing along everything to the team. Here's hoping the Ubisoft folks can provide us with a "real" fix soon!
Received this direct message from Ubisoft Support on Twitch today:
Hi there Sp33dyKat,
Thanks for reaching out to us regarding your concern and for also providing us with your username and platform used.
First of all, we'd like to apologize for the late response as we're currently handling a huge number of support tickets.
With Post-Launch support for Assassin's Creed Valhalla coming to an end, the development team is unable to address this particular issue.
Can we ask for your extended patience as we continue with our investigation on this issue? I can suggest that you keep an eye out on our forums and social media for any updates from our Community Managers and Development teams for this.
Let us know if you have any other questions or concern. Ubi-CreedMeister Ubisoft Support
Confused, as one sentence says "the development team is unable to address this particular issue" and the next sentence asks for patience "as we continue with our investigation on this issue".
Guessing this is a "copy & paste" response that wasn't edited properly or ??
Anyway, could someone from Ubisoft please let us all know the actual status of this bug - planning to fix or not?
Thank you
Super frustrating! It appears this Ulfberht bug is preventing me from gaining access to the "Champions of Faith" quest in River Raids, as well. Right?
Unfortunately, I tried the Free Item again today and, though the feature is no longer completely broken, it still isn't allowing me to collect the item on Xbox Series X, using an Xbox controller.
Here's a video I just took. You'll see that I can't claim the item using the controller. I then use a wireless keyboard and collect the freebie with no problem.

For anyone wondering why the Weekly Free Item isn't working for anyone...

Another Tuesday, another free item that's unattainable.
Once again, I launched my save game, saved the game, then went to the in-game Animus store.
Once again, the "Weekly Free Item" tile shows a countdown (6D 14H 30S).
Once again, the store acts like I've already redeemed the free item for this week.
No loot box animation, no new item in my in-game inventory.
No response or acknowledgement of any kind from Ubisoft, thus far.
Disappointing.
