I wholeheartedly agree.
They have also neutered the Vikings and Viking culture by portraying them as being very inclusive and friendly when everyone knows they were anything but. There's literally Asian Vikings. Like rewriting history much =_=
@igrvks I'm at the stage where I'm thinking of giving up on Ubisoft games. Their QA seems to get worse the bigger and greedier they get. As a stealth player I can't even clear areas in the game because enemies keep respawning. It reminds me of the police system from Cyberpunk 2077. Where they continue spawning out of thin air.
Also can't enjoy exploring because of the spawning rates. How this passed into the final build is mind boggling. Not to mention the amount of bugs in this game. And the VRAM issue where not even NVidia's RTX 3080 has enough VRAM for HD textures. A $1200-1500 USD graphics card.
More so that it's in a third world country. All of whom are renown for not being politically correct. They have armies composed nearly entirely of men only. With some female only units for PR purposes.
This game contradicts that. And has 80% of the enemies and allies being female.
And I know why they do this. The same reason they only advertised this game with female Dani. Because of their beliefs. But sadly these beliefs are not realistic and do not align with what actually is in the world. So this gender difference is immersion killing to an extreme extent.
As soon as Ubisoft went the female power marketing route I knew this game would not be as good as past Far Cry games.
Still purchased it though. But it's even worse then I expected it to be. That spawning system for starters is complete trash. Can't play stealth playstyle properly without the respawning system interfering.
And the clothing system that replaced the perks system is not a good substitute. Would rather the perk system back.
The characters are hard to relate to. And very hard to like. Too hipster like.
Plus when transitioning to a new zone your minimap gets taken off the screen.
Yes. The game has a now well documented respawning issue. Enemies respawn out of thin air and too fast.
@alexanderbayek It's more immersion killing when you are in the Armed Forces.
I'm in the RAA. Royal Australian Artillery and this November will reach 12 years of service. In all my time I've only seen a couple female soldiers who can hold their own against the male soldiers. And that's the new gen men who are more cardio and less physically robust. The old school and burly men who are very physically robust and have deployments under their belts. The female soldiers can't hold a candle to them.
Our BFA (Basic Fitness Assessment) varies for age and gender. The biggest difference for the BFA is for gender. Women get a drastically easier BFA compared to the male entries.
Men whom are 18 years old need to achieve:
40 Push Ups in 2 minutes.
70 Sit Ups.
11:18 minutes on a 2.4km run.
Women whom are 18 years old need to achieve:
20 push ups in 2 minutes (Half the amount compared to the male soldiers)
70 sit ups (Same amount as the men)
13:30 Minutes on the 2.4km run (well over 2 minutes extra compared to the males)
So if our female soldiers were to ever go to war. They would be less prepared then the men fitness wise. And when you are doing fire and movement, leopard crawling, pack marching etc. Fitness matters. Definitely when you need to do all that in SCE. Decently heavy soldier combat ensemble. Being your load carriage equipment/body armour, helmet and ocular protection.
What annoys me about this new age of politics is that when women get it easier fitness wise. And treated less harshly discipline wise in our job. Us men who get treated like trash, work our butts off. Are not getting represented in new media. It's the women who get the majority representation in all entertainment now. Hell even games that are supposed to be semi realistic like the Tom Clancy games (Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six: Siege) imply that it's equal in our Armed Forces for genders. It's not. Men get harder barriers for standards. And still make up the vast bulk of the demographic for the forces. Yet are now getting 30-50% Representation in war games. Also more of us die in training accidents because we are always chosen for high risk activities over women. And the media spits on our service.
Do these writers who live in a bubble realise this?
I feel sorry for those families in Norway with Viking lineage that they are disrespecting. If they want to preach tolerance and inclusion they still need to respect other cultures and not falsify settings.
@mrsir1980 There's this whole 'no violence against women movement' because it is common knowledge that women have a disadvantage compared to men physically. Also many western armies now have lowered physical training standards only for women. Leaving the male physical standards at a high standard. This also is because it is known that women as a whole are not built to be fighters in the sense that men are.
Also I did some research on Cuba and similar countries to what Yara is trying to represent. Their militias, armies and any anti government movements are comprised solely of male fighters.
Equality does not exist in war like environments. It's a peacetime societal luxury.
Yup. It's an even bigger pain with bigger bases. The spawning is out of control. It makes stealth playstyle hard and hiding bodies pointless.
They either need to adopt Ghost Recon: Breakpoints spawn system. Or only have enemies respawn after fast travel and reload of save. Because it kills game balance when you can sit at a checkpoint and destroy enemy truck after truck and pile up easy resources. And camp at an enemy spawn point and pile up the Amigo kills etc.
In my opinion this issue is game breaking.
@sizrospunkmire It's a game written by hipster diverse university students. What did you expect.
Top talent keeps leaving Ubisoft and the ones that stay all share the same woke ideals that are antithesis to fun and good story writing.

@gwynei Ubisoft have fallen from being great game developers to being a fast food of gaming. Poor quality with a disregard for consumer feedback.
Things like the dumb respawn rate can't even be rectified now.
@biffa999 I had this issue with NVMe M.2 SSD?
@viggenras The quality of their game releases is degrading substantially. This has to be the worse Far Cry game to date. At least mechanically.
Months later many of these big issues that have been identified by the community have not been fixed.
- Autosave stuttering issue
- Enemies AND animals respawning too quickly
- HD Texture pack being an inefficient bloatware option that favours AMD graphics cards with their 16GB VRAM (coincidence not)
The old Ubisoft was better. And they would have rectified issues like the above. Hell the old Ubisoft wrote better stories and pushed out higher quality products. Whomever is now working at Ubisoft must be incompetent or lack experience.
@ronniearnold They are sure taking their time. I think they may not be able to fix it due to lack of expertise in their field. No other explanation for an issue that has existed in more then this game and for many years now.
I've uninstalled the game and have no motivation to finish it until the autosave stuttering issue is resolved. It's a giant fun killer.
@ubi-borealis Why is this the only game that is so VRAM inefficient?
Since when does any game need over 12GB VRAM.
AC: Valhalla looks visually better and yet is way more efficient for VRAM. It even has better blood and debris decals.
@sleezure When enemies respawn so quickly it kills suspension of disbelief and makes the world building feel shallow and lazy. It also hurts stealth playstyle because many enemies do not stay dead and you are constantly dealing with respawning enemies and thus unable to clear some locations with stealth.
@ukstu99 They don't hire people based on merit anymore. It's all about the diversity checkboxes. And as such you have people doing jobs that are significantly less competent so as the company can maintain a political correct image for the Twitter public.
You will notice a decrease in quality of new released games. This is why the decrease in quality is happening.
I've noticed a trend with gaming developers.
As their teams get more "diverse" their games become worse and worse.
The most diverse teams like Blizzard etc are the worse of the lot.
Good games are predominately older games which were made by less diverse teams.
Maybe diversity is not a strength? It's evident that it has too many downfalls. Including more likelihood of in-fighting, direction changing due to politics, less competent people being put into job roles due to their gender/race/quotas.
I think Ubisoft are a dying developer now. They hired the wrong people who can't make the kind of quality products that the older veteran staff were able to make.
@fb_om3gaprime This exact thing happens to me too.

Playing at 3440x1440p mix of high and some ultra settings. HD texture pack yes. But I have 11GB VRAM which the texture pack recommends. Capped at 60 FPS to reduce FPS fluctuations.
The autosave is what produces the stutters. Picking up resources nodes is the main factor. This issues has been present for a few months now since the game launched. And that they have yet to find a fix is disheartening. I remember when Ubisoft games used to be indicative of "high quality". Now it's anything but as their talent seems to be leaving them in favour of different hiring practices.
