Prisoner trapped in a closed off structure

In my game, the loan surviving prisoner is trapped in a house with no way in or out. I ended up leaving the quest and did a few hours elsewhere in both Ireland and England. Every time I return to the prisoner rescue, there are no quest indicators and the prisoner is still trapped in the structure.
