I can’t believe this still hasn’t been fixed. I doubt it ever will. Gonna cancel my Ubisoft+ until achievement tracking and notifications are back in-game

Not having achievements pop in-game (a basic feature of literally every other platforms a feature that previously existed) and no in-game achievement tracking (which also previously existed) takes away the very rewarding nature of achievements themselves.

I appreciate staff engagement on the subject, but I find the lack of progress (going over a year now) disturbing.

Why did they remove in-game achievement goodness, and why won’t they give it back? What harm does it do?

I just bought Riders Republic and Far Cry 6 used on PS5. I’ll knock out those Plat
trophies sometime this week.

Again, until achievement tracking/notifications are reinstated on PC, you’re losing my money.

With Far Cry 6 releasing in weeks and Extraction launching in months, will the achievement tracking be reinstated shortly?

Well said…and it should be repeated that achievement tracking and notifications were already there. Uplay launcher had them. It was specifically removed when Ubi Connect rolled out.

At the very least, they could expand the functionality in the launcher. Instead of just listing the achievments and showing what you have earned, maybe have notifications waiting for me within the launcher when I exit the game and also add progress tracking.

If we are never getting achievements back in-game, this could maybe be a compromise. Or hell, put out a Uplay app like Xbox has where achievement notifications pop.

While I appreciate responses from Ubi staff, I still don’t understand why we can’t get an official explanation for why achievements were taken out and why they haven’t returned.

The functionality is already there. This should be an easy fix.

What was the reason for removing them in the first place? Console versions will always have them. I understand that challenges were meant to be the new focus on PC but that doesn’t work for older games and it still hurts no one to leave the achievement tracking on PC even with challenges. If anything this would encourage people
buying console and PC copies of a game. Everyone profits.

If achievements haven’t returned by FC6 release then I’m out. No thanks. I’ll buy it used for PS5.

I officially cancelled my Ubisoft+ sub a week ago or so. I bought AC Odyssey used and am gonna have the Platinum trophy on PS5 sometime this week. Will do the same with Far Cry 6.

Robbing achievements from us PC users is such a strange business decision by the Connect team.
