I’m at level 15, and with each new rank, i’ve received a notification saying “new weapons are now available at Juan’s arms dealers.” I check multiple dealers at various captured FND bases and base camps, all of whom sell the same thing, with no new weapons spawning since at least tank 10.
Why does the game keep telling me to check the dealers for new weapons if none exist?
I’m late in the game (just starting Chapt 5, at power level 391, w/ settlement at level 6) and suddenly all the merchants stopped selling runes and titanium. Even after leveling, fast traveling, and quitting.
Also, last night I suddenly had new branches of skills. I thought it was the intended result of hitting a certain skill threshold, but then today those nee skills disappeared.
What in the Sam Hill is going on?
@m1au
I had a tentative understanding of that, but this is weird. Generally, runes you don’t buy remain in the merchant’s stock until it refreshes. I’ve never bought all the available runes and have never seen the whole rune section disappear. And I’m pretty sure it’s been well over an hour, and have finished a mission since.
For the love of Mike, can someone help me?
I just bought the Bloodline DLC. Odd as it may sound, I bought it more for the ability to recruit and play as Pearce in Legion’s main campaign, than I did for the stand-alone DLC.
However, Aiden is not spawning outside the safe-house, like every Web article states.
Everything I’ve read, and every video I’ve watched, says he should be standing right outside the door to the bar and safe-house. Every article says the only requirement for recruiting Aiden is the purchase / installment of Blood line. And they all explicitly say you don’t have to complete the DLC before Aiden appears in the main campaign. (You only need to complete the initial tutorial mission in Legion.)
Apparently none of that is true. I completed the first mission in Bloodline, and am well into the main Legion campaign.
I’ve tried closing snd restarting the game, and even did a hard reboot of my Xbox One-X, and he still is missing,
What in the Sam Hill is happening? It’s not like all the sites and videos are subject to interpretation. They all give the same simple and straightforward information.
Were they all wrong, or, am I just straight up stupid. Because my IQ is at least above room temperature, this is really starting to tick me off.
Like I say, I really just wanted to play as Aiden in the main campaign on my 2nd play-through. Sure, I’ll play the DLC eventually, but I would have held off buying Bloodline if I had known he wouldn’t be available in Legion.
Has anyone experienced this garbage? If so, how did you fix it? Couple hours now I’ve been dealing with this; which is about like paying someone $15 to beat me in the head with a baseball bat.
Can anyone help?
Cheers,
J
Playing on Xbox One-X, I’m encountering a problem that has me worried fir my hardware.
After the last update, the game frequently activates the vibration motor in my controller in a manner I’ve never experienced before.
It generally happens starting / closing the game; entering or exiting the main menu; or when fast traveling.
Before the recent update, there would sometimes be a brief burst of controller vibration when spawning in or out of fast travel.
Now. however, that same vibration is much more powerful and constant. IOW, it doesn’t stop. This insane vibration is so strong and enduring, I’m seriously worried it will damage my controller.
And no, it’s not the controller itself. The controller I’m using is only a week old, and only goes crazy in FC6.
I’ve tested it on six other games (including FC5 & 6), where this possession can’t be replicated. I’ve also tested two other controllers; both of which experienced the same problem.
When this problem happens, the only way to stop it is to actually remove the controllers’ batteries. I’ve also tried doing a hard reboot of my console, to no avail.
Aside from this being something of a game-breaking phenomenon, do I need to be acutely worried about it breaking my controller?
When it happens, it literally feels like it will come apart.
@theonebigdaddy
Hello, i believe it does say within Bloodline that you have to progress to a certain point before Aiden is unlocked online and in campaign modes. You'll know if you reach this point as an on screen message will come up, telling you that Aiden has been unlocked in both modes.
Does he appear as unavailable on your team roster? The only other thing i can really suggest is for you to use the deep profiler on Aiden and try to recruit him that way.
That makes sense, although I haven’t seen the DLC notification you mention. I went back to the Bloodline today and played another mission, but still no-joy in Legion.
I do already have the deep profiler skill in Legion, but that’s not the issue. IOW, it’s not that I can’t interact w/ Aiden in Legion, but rather he’s simply not where he’s supposed to be. Nowhere on the map, in fact. Nor is he listed in the Recruit mission list.
I trust you’re right, though, when you say I have to progress a certain way in Bloodline, before he appears in Legion. One of the reasons I’m so keen to play as Aiden in Legion is his reported load-out.
I don’t much care for the new weapons restrictions and inventory system in Legion. I miss the deep and broad inventory of WD1, and even the sort of pseudo-crafting system of WD2.
But from what I’ve read, Aiden’s load-out in Legion includes an assault rifle, shotgun, silenced pistol, and a couple others I think.
And maybe that’s why his availability in Legion is tied to progression in Bloodline. It looked to me like some of his weapons are tied to certain DLC missions. Or so I hope.
Regardless, I genuinely appreciate your clarification. Not a single Web article or video mentioned it. Saying Aiden’s availability in Legion isn’t tied to completion of Bloodline is useless without a simple, single sentence that at least mentions the progression requirement.
Long way around the block to say thanks for your help!

I just wish
@theonebigdaddy
Damn i feel for you man. I will try on my end on my other account and i'll let you know the outcome!
Thanks for going the extra mile. I’m thoroughly irritated, but I’ll get over it. Even if I could afford it, I refuse to spend another $40 on the SP, just so I can play as Aiden in Legion. With the money I already spent on Bloodline, the cost of the SP (which would include the DLC I’ve already bought) would equal what I paid for the main game.
All this while both my ($250) XB Elite and standard controllers developed severe stick drift out of warranty. When it rains…
Anyway, thanks for all the help. Time to put Aiden away and stop letting Ubisoft and WD Legion waste my money and peace of mind!
Not sure I completely understand your point here, in relation to the wing-suit issue.
If you’re saying the W-S controls weren’t inverted on your machines (with stick back = nose up down—and not the opposite, I can’t account for it.
All I know for sure: W-S control settings were inverted by default on my machine.
Not that it really matters. I tested the W-S after changing its settings (i.e., removal if inversion, or, stick back = nose up), and saw little improvement of sustained lift. IOW, pulling back on the stick did help some, but nowhere near the ability of previous FC wing-suits.
Or the sustained abilities of the FC6 W-S, in which I’ve seen videos of people covering much more ground than I can.
All of which has me wondering if it’s just a glitch or bug associated with my particular platform: the Xbox One-X.
@akira1364
If anyone is still interested in this, I just made a significant discovery. One I hope will help alleviate this issue.
For reasons that elude me, the default controls for the FC6 wing-suit are inverted. So when you pull back on the control stick—which would pull the nose of a plane up—, you actually put Dani into a dive.
If I’m the only idiot who didn’t know this, I apologize for wasting everyone’s time.
If, however, you’re a neophyte like me, you can change this setting the game’s System menu: Options / Controls / Transport tab / Plane (which also applies to the W-S) where you can remove the inversion.
FYI & Mea Culpa.
@akira1364
Sure. I also used my iPhone to shoot a video of the controller in its possessed state—if you’d like to see that.
The first of the 3 (all of which are indeed wireless) is the most recent version of the Xbox standard, wireless controller. This one is the Pulse Red model, which I bought for my nephew to use when he visits. (But have since commandeered as my primary controller.) Not sure if it has a version or gen number, but I just bought it a couple weeks ago, and it does have new enhanced standard features.
The 2nd controller is the previous standard version of the Xbox controller that came with my current Xbox One-X a few years ago.
The 3rd is the original version of the Xbox Elite controller. Because it has a slight stick drift, I don’t use this one as often on 1st person shooters—until it can be repaired or adjusted. Other than that, though, this $250 controller works fine and displayed the same strong and incessant vibration.
All three strong and loud enough, it can be heard from other rooms in my home.
Hope this helps you to investigate. It happened a couple times yesterday, upon which I discovered I could stop it by holding down the Home button on the Pulse Red model, and selecting “Turn off controller.” (And just to be thorough, perform a hard reboot of my console.)
Before, when I tried that, it didn’t work. The only way to stop it then was to remove the batteries. Either way, it’s an intolerable pain. And as I said, I’m really worried that repeated occurrences might damage my controllers.
Like a lot of people living in the pandemic, my money is tight right now. $60+ to replace a controller for something like this would hurt.
If, however, you assure me there’s no such danger, I’ll keep playing while you guys at least investigate.
Aside from wanting to report it, I really just wanted to know if it’s safe to play without damaging my equipment.
Thanks for your help.

Yeah. I’ve tried doing exactly that, but I swear it’s not working like I assume they meant it to.
I just replayed FC4 & 5, and in 5 there are jump points on mountains tied to distance achievements, which I had no trouble completing.
But I’d be willing to bet dollars to donuts, you couldn’t do that w/ the FC6 wingsuit. At least that’s so on my Xbox One-X.
I can’t imagine the wing-suit in FC6 is as intended. As tricky as it was in FC6, that wing-suit was far better than this iteration.
I can’t tell you how many video guides I’ve seen online that say to get the W-S ASAP, to “cover great distances.” This is ridiculously untrue. No matter how high I am when I jump, even in air drops over safe houses, I drop like a stone after activating.
Even when locations were fairly close to the drop zone, I’ve yet to get anywhere near them w/ the W-S.
It’s been so bad, that I’ve given up even trying. Which is a shame in and of itself, but dramatically worse in missions where the W-S is an integral part of the mission.
There was the treasure hunt w/ the pelican, that tells you to follow the bird using your W-S. Not only was this impossible, it was bewilderingly stupid and frustrating. I spent an hour or more retrying that mission, never getting farther than the base of the mountain.
And now, in “A Wing & A Prayer,” the game literally points to the place where it wants you to run off and activate the W-S, so you can glide down and save Marisol. What a joke!
Every time I’ve tried, I’ve covered no more than a third of the distance; whereupon I’m forced to cover the remaining distance on foot. And because Dani’s stamina sucks, it makes the whole ordeal tedious and anything but fun. The only work around I can think of is to quit and cone back w/ a helicopter (assuming there are no anti-aircraft).
All of this begs the question/s: if the W-S is this ineffectual, why make it a key component of missions.
I assume there’s not some method for using the W-S I’m unaware of, but I’ve tried everything I can think of. Alternating b/w the W-S and parachute helps a little, but nowhere near enough to cover even a reasonable distance.
What gives?

The first article I saw that reported Aiden as a playable character with only the purchase of Bloodline was actually at TheGamer.com. There were others I can track down once I can get to my PC, but this is what started this mess for me, and why I now feel so cheated.
“Watch Dogs: Legion Bloodline: How to Recruit Aiden Pearce and Wrench.” by George Foster on 6/11/2021 states,
“Not only do you get to play as these two during Bloodline's main campaign, but you can also add them to the main game's DedSec group. That means that once you've recruited the two onto your team, you can choose to play as Wrench and Aiden across the whole of the original story in Legion.
“The first thing you'll need to do in order to recruit Aiden and Wrench is to own the Bloodline DLC pack. Once you've done that, all you need to do is jump into the main campaign from the menu, and you'll be able to recruit Aiden and Wrench into your team. You do not need to have finished the Bloodline DLC to unlock either character, but you'll need to have finished Legion's tutorial mission first.”
Nowhere in the rest of that article does it mention needing to purchase the $40 SP or the stand-alone Aiden character.
Hey guys!
There appears to have been some confusion here, so just to be clear - Aiden Pearce will not be made available in the Single Player Campaign / Online modes after completing the Bloodlines DLC.
To access Aiden Pearce in the main game, you need to own him via the Season Pass.
The Bloodlines DLC does not allow the use of extra Operatives outside of the DLC.
I hope this clears up some of the confusion and if there's anything more we can answer, please let us know!
Well, that confusion just cost me more money and time than I could afford to lose. And look, if this was something that should have been clear from the get-go, I’d be more than willing to publicly humble myself and apologize for wasting everyone’s time.
In my case, however, this consternation began with Web articles and videos that reported Aiden as a playable character in Legion with the purchase of Bloodline. I wanted to say the first article I stumbled across was by SegmentNext, as I was looking for general info on Legion DLC.
As soon as I saw the $40 price tag for the SP, I knew I couldn’t justify the cost. But once I started reading that you could play as Aiden with only the purchase of Bloodline, I thought it was worth it. A costly mistake I’m convinced is nowhere near being my fault.
So now, if I want to play as Aiden in Legion, I’d have to spend another $40 on the SP. that’s on top of what I paid for Bloodline (again, based on erroneous reporting). Which is just about as much as I paid for the base game. As keen as I am to play as Aiden in Legion, I simply can’t afford that right now. And frankly, respectably, even if I could, I think the price would be far too high for my simple want.
