@hayloth Are these "Indians" you're referring to Native Americans, or real Indians (the ones who live in India)? We kinda stopped saying "Red Indians" about 20 years ago.
@adarklore Most games have some kind of bugs when they get released. I don't know of any game I've owned that didn't have a few patches along the way to fix things. It's the nature of large-scale software development that you'll never reach perfection. As we've seen, the game-breaking bugs aren't reported by everyone. When I look at my PS5 trophy list, I see that people are getting platinum trophies - so the game as a whole isn't broken.
I know Valhalla didn't get the level of exposure that Cyberpunk 2077 did, but it's still a major launch title for the new consoles - a major quality failure would have been widely reported (as has been for Cyperpunk).
The fact that Cyberpunk got removed from the PS store is a huge, huge deal.
Personally, I've done almost 80hrs of gameplay and not found many horrible game-breaking issues that weren't fixed with a reload or a fast-travel. I know that other people have had issues, but not everyone has had the same issues.
@naumaan Different people have different experiences. Also different people have different tolerances toward bugs.
I've seen a few bugs, but nothing to make me rant and throw my controller around, I was happy to buy the game at launch and the later patches (at least for me) improve the look and stability of the game.
It's on sale at Amazon right now, so if you see a good deal, I'd say buy.
@dandeftone I gave up trying to clear forts. These days I just clear as much as I need to get what I want out of the situation (usually wealth) and then clear out.
@rpgfiend2139 To be honest, the gender fluidity of Evior and the Animus construct aspect of the game led me to bypass most of the romance options. I'm a male gamer controlling a female modern-world antagonist who's in turn controlling a female Evior who can look either male of female. It got a bit confusing for me, so I just stuck with killing Saxons.
@md67man From the new patch, it seems yes. If your skill level is above the bosses base level, the boss will scale up to meet you.

@ubi-woofer Many thanks for continuing to support your customers and helping us toward a greater experience with Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. I, for one, appreciate your efforts and wish you and the team the best in these really challenging times.
@fudz4 1.1.0 is released today with a whole haycart of more improvements and fixes.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla - Title Update 1.1.0 | Ubisoft Forums
My first experience of Valhalla last month was a little choppy, I admit. It was frustrating to be running to the next objective only to have Eivor get stuck in the ground. Things (at least for me), got a lot better with patch 1.0.4 and will improve again with the new patch.
Cyberpunk 2077 has got off to a far rockier start, and I'm thankful that I didn't hold out for it to be released.
@randyesquireps5 The latest patch is released in a couple of hours. Might be an idea to see if that fixes this.
@cap-cla Nice idea, but I voted "No".
1) It would be a huge amount of development work
2) Things would go wrong with it and Ubisoft would have a spend a huge amount of effort in maintaining and updating it
3) This DLC (I assume it would be that) would be consequently very expensive for customers to buy
4) Not many users would buy it
5) It wouldn't be good or flexible enough for the users who would buy it and they'd endlessly complain and demand new features
6) I can't think of any other games that have this mode (because, I guess, it's just not profitable)
Multiplayer might be an idea, but Ubisoft hasn't done Multiplayer in AC games since Black Flag in 2013.
I guess Ubisoft would rather get on with what's worked in the past - produce a decent standalone game, support it with a few "modes", DLC, and microtransactions and then move on to creating the next AC game.
@kdgyu I've not really heard of this one being a known bug. The likelyhood is that you've simply missed one. At the Western end, there's a brazier on the fort on top of the hill that's easy to miss. It's also easy to miss the most Eastern one if you use the synchronisation point to start this trophy hunt.
@winky1926 I simply stop pounding the "pull" button when I see the line start going dark red - that's pretty much all that I do. I've never really seen any difference when trying to "control" the fish on the line, it pretty much always comes to you regardless of anything in the way.
99% of the time, I catch the fish simply by standing there and mashing the "pull" button. I had one fish escape me today, and that was my first of of many I've caught in the past..
@joealternative I also had to go to an earlier save - losing two hours of gameplay
@onysss This house is the exit of the Yorvik Bureau. If you fast-travelled somewhere after completing discovering and looting the bureau, then you'll miss this loot chest in the exit path.
Two explosive arrows to the door should open it for you if you don't want to go through the entrance path all over again.
@asgardian02 Sorry, I was being vague. You can't aim a melee weapon at a specific body part on your opponent, therefore highlighting the weak spots doesn't matter.
And you can apply runes to bows as well as melee weapons, so "weak spots" only applies to runes you put on bows.
@asgardian02 You can't "aim" a melee weapon, so there's no point.
@asgardian02 Yeah, dual daggers are pretty lethal due to the speed and max upgrades really ups the slicing power. The disadvantage is that you have to get in close to your opponents.
I've been using double daggers for a long time now and they make short work of boss battles.
@asgardian02 The Fenrir fight was fine for me, even before patch 1.1.0. I think it took a couple of attempts (I was underpowered at the time).
This bug should have been fixed.
@yngwiiee The rating for each area is only a suggestion - you don't have to be above that rating to attempt them. Being under-powered actually gives you a little challenge as it's easy to be over-powered and breeze through the story missions without any real problem.
A good way of levelling up between story missions is to complete all of the secondary items (gold, white, and blue dots) in each area before moving on to the story arc of the next area. If you do that, you're pretty much assured of being above the suggested power rating for the next area.
