@john52072008 I had exactly the same issue. I purchased AC Valhalla through the Epic Games Launcher, downloaded and installed it. On launch I was prompted by Ubisoft Connect to activate a key, which I was never provided with and is not contained in my email receipt. Uplay did not show AC Valhalla as an owned game.
However I seem to have fixed it by closing the Epic launcher and Uplay/Ubisoft Connect, and running ACValhalla.exe from the installation directory. I was prompted to sign in to Ubisoft Connect again, and it seemed to run a self-update. After a few minutes the Epic Launcher changed the Launch button under Valhalla briefly, and the game appeared as installed in Uplay/Ubisoft Connect. I am now able to launch the game from either launcher. Not a very clever experience, very frustrating.
