Gratz all !!
@newbie_neil91 I'd contact the PlayStation store and make them aware, if enough people complain you may get a cyberpunk situation and get a refund.
Avoid a chargeback on your credit card, this will come with fines for sony not ubisoft and will get you banned and lose all of your digital content.
It's really disappointing that software company's get away with not supplying a 'functional tangible asset' as the goods are not physical. Legally it doesn't matter if the software is full of bugs that prevent you using it as intended. Consumer law needs overhaul here, the result of this is what you see today, there is no incentive to fix these bugs and you don't have a leg to stand on.
Much better to pump out content to make you spend more, than wasting valuable dev time on things that don't make shareholders more money.
I've spent most of the day thinking I was missing something on this quest. Then I find you all with the same problems.
UBI have always been a bit buggy, but the game is totally broken. A friend also has the same issue so is guess this is quite common!
Everyone who is continuing to play the map post-bug waiting for a fix, don't do that. It will only amplify your rage and frustration ...../snip
I second this. I started again and just raced through the pledge quests, it took about a week of my life away, plus I did it on easy mode as already knew the challenge. I've finally completed the storyline with zero side-quests at all and got back to level 350 in the process. But the frustration is still there for me, how can this game be programmed so linear/golden path and give you the option to free roam is completely beyond me.
Ubisoft have lost a lot of respect from me, I love the AC franchise, one of the first games that blew my mind with a story. But next time for sure I'll wait for a discount price rather than buy at launch. I'm beyond frustrated by all this and that isn't the point of a game imho!
I too work in software, but delivering industrial rather than entertainment. If I'd have managed anything near the scale of the repeatability of this problem without a detailed action plan to resolve, my company would have been sued out of existence by now.
Pull it together ubisoft ffs!!
Sorry for the rant ... TL;DR, just start again and play the story and then go back an free-roam. Intercepting hight-level items and armour doesn't seem to trigger the bug, so you can go off the golden-path a little, but do no other quests.
So, completed the raids and all other bits it can. Maxed out my gear level so I've got really nothing left I can do in this game.
It feels wrong as I've had some fun along with the incredible frustration this bug is causing. But I can return to amazon for a refund. I'd guess by the time this gets fixed the game will be considerably cheaper to buy again.
@tempete0390 me too, but I'm inside the 30 days. I linked to this thread saying the product is defective, let's see how that goes...
@ubi-borealis Please note that we are unable to share unconfirmed details from the investigations, such as details regarding fixes or providing ETAs when there are none.
Forgive me. It just might be how this is written... on the one hand you are saying this will be fixed in the future, but today you don't know what the problem is to even begin to estimate when people can use what they have bought in good faith?
I think to calm the 'brewing storm' that might be heading ubisoft's way it might help to offer suggestions on how to avoid this, once the developers do know the cause, if your customers would like to restart the game?
As others have repeated stated, this isn't an inconvenience, it is a completely game breaking bug which prevents anything progressing and has been known about for near-on 5 months!
There is reputation damage from inconvenient bugs, but selling a product which doesn't work is a whole new level which I don't think ubisoft quite understand!
I restarted, and like others just did the main quests and got it to work.
I did get the homestead to lvl3 but no quests out of England. I only detoured to pick up the full magisters set and suttangers claw/yngling seax combo.
@cfcsoccer20 hello, welcome to the club. Ubisoft work on a first come first served basis. You are number 1,348,836 in the queue.
We are currently working on future expansions to increase ubisoft income.
Please hold the line, we will get to you shortly.
Has this been fixed yet? Is it time to blow the dust off this game?

@renz832017 PS5, but I don't think the platform matters.
It took about 18 hours.
I restarted, and like others just did the main quests and got it to work.

@chachalote I'm trying the same thing, except I've helped valker move her stuff in, but not done anything else with her.
Only about 7 hours in though
@ubi-borealis I'm still a little confused. By 'we' do you mean ubisoft as a whole don't know, or the developers haven't told the customer-facing roles?

Does anyone know how to load early saves on PS5? I see some are in the cloud, but I've tried so many things to fix this that I can only go back to 70 hrs and the Cent quest is complete.
