Thank you for continuing to share your experiences with "Saint Faith." The development team had hoped to have this issue resolved in TU 1.2.2, though the investigation was reopened following reports that the issue still persisted. We understand that this issue is preventing players from achieving 100% completion, and we apologise for any inconvenience that has been caused by this.
We can confirm that a fix for "Saint Faith" will be deployed in a future update. We don't yet have a confirmed ETA for when this update is due to be release.
As we have no further information to share at this time, we have decided to temporarily lock this thread as we have enough input and information that we were able to forward to our Development Team. If you want to follow the progress, please just follow this thread by selecting "Watching" in the top-right corner of the thread. Once we have any new updates to share with you all regarding "Saint Faith," we will unlock this thread once again. You can also keep an eye out for updates within the News & Announcements forum.
In the meantime, please refrain from making any duplicate threads about "Saint Faith," as these will be merged into this ongoing Megathread. This will allow us to keep all information and updates from the investigation in one place.
Please note that the development team have not announced any plans to remove this quest from the game, or to remove it from the 100% completion requirements. If you have not already, we would recommend taking a look at our Dev Blog, as it gives great insight into the internal development processes, as well as a pipeline for how fixes are developed and deployed.
Thank you for your understanding
EDIT 16 July, 2021: The development team have announced that they will be deploying a fix for "Saint Faith" in TU 1.3.0. We don't yet have a confirmed ETA for when this update will be deployed. The development team have currently targeted a release period of July 2021. Once we have more information to share regarding TU 1.3.0, it will be posted within this thread and in the News & Announcements forum.
Following the release of our Dev Blog, I would like to reach out to you with some updates regarding "A Brewing Storm." We can now confirm that a fix for this quest will be released with our next Title Update, which is due to be deployed next week.
Patch notes will be shared in our News & Announcements forum closer to the official release dates, so please keep an eye out for these.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and feedback regarding "A Brewing Storm" with us in this thread. As mentioned by @Ubi-Woofer, please abide to the forum rules when making posts. Aggressive behaviour towards members of the team and excessive foul language use will not be tolerated, and sanctions will be applied as and when necessary. This includes editing and deleting posts when appropriate.
If you are encountering issues in other quests, such as Pig of Prophecy, I would recommend checking out the dedicated megathread for further news and updates. You can view our megathread list here.
@DocHolliday182 - We understand that you may be frustrated, and you are welcome to express how you feel in the forums. We ask that players maintain a respectful tone when posting in forums, and refrain from using excessive foul language, as mentioned in rule 3.2 and 3.3:
3.2 Contain foul language not permitted on the boards with or without symbols to disguise their intended purpose.

@maxxsinner - Please note that the player support team does not have any control over the Ubisoft returns policy, or the return policy of any other retailers. If you're having trouble opening up a support ticket or a live chat via the website, you can also reach our support team via Twitter and Facebook.
@Renz832017 & @victoruchiha82 - Any compensation is at the decision of the Assassin's Creed: Valhalla team. Player Support have no influence in this decision. If compensation is offered to players, this news will be communicated on our official platforms or via in-game notifications.
Thank you all
I've merged together some similar threads about this issue together into one single thread. I apologise if this has disrupted any ongoing discussion. Creating one thread will allow us to keep all information and updates regarding the issue in one place.
Thanks for reporting this issue within the forums! I actually noticed this whilst playing through a river raid last night, even though I have guaranteed assassinations turned on. I was also able to test on an older save, and guaranteed assassinations returned. I've now passed on your reports to the development team so they can take a closer look at this.
Once we have an new updates to share from the development team, such as requiring additional information from the players within this thread, we will reach out here. Please keep an eye out for any more news and information.
I'd like to take the time to reach out to you all with an update, and to respond to some posts that have been left since my last post. At this moment, I'm afraid we have no new information to share regarding the missing large flatfish/mackerel, or bringing those flying fish back into the water. The development team are still taking a closer look at both of these reports. Once we have any news to share, we will post it within this thread, so please keep an eye out for updates!
@WhoCares78 - Maybe they're flying in the auroras in the sky... they are known as rivers of light, after all
@eL_T_US - Hey there! Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. Please be assured that the development team has been actively working on this investigation since it was first reported by players. This was something that we had hoped to be resolved in previous updates, and we're sorry for any disappointment that has been caused by their disappearance following these updates. Both myself and @Ubi-Woofer have tried our best to keep you all updated when we can, and we have also been actively passing on any new reports you guys have made following previous updates. As we're not part of the development team, we cannot speculate on how easy or hard this is to fix. Once we do have any more information to share from the investigation, it will be posted within this thread.
@luigispcrew - Don't worry, big mackerel and big flatfish are both included in this!
@SkyrimwitcherFW - Hello! I cannot speak for everyone on the team, but both myself and @Ubi-Woofer are active players of Valhalla! We've both completed the game, and have regularly passed along our own images/videos and save files to help in investigations. We are also both looking forward to finally being able to complete the fishing deliveries @Ubi-Woofer has actually spent a lot of time creating videos to help with finding certain fish (like the small sturgeon and halibut). Once we have any updates to share about the missing large fish, they will be shared in this thread as soon as we know, so please keep an eye out!
If anyone needs help with finding certain fish or creatures, please let @Ubi-Woofer and she'll do her best to make a video for you!
@bielik01 - Thanks for taking the time to share a video with us! I'll pass this along to the development team as well
I would like to reach out you all with an update. Following the announcement of TU 1.2.0, I would like to update you all with the status of the ongoing investigations into "In the Absence of Ealdorman." TU 1.2.0 is due to be deployed 16 March, 2021 at 1PM CET/8AM EDT. You can read the patch notes and learn more here.
The following issues are due to be resolved with TU 1.2.0:
- Unable to give the brooch to Hunwald, due to looting it prior to starting the quest
- Cutscene does not start after finding the Ealdorman in the castle
- Quest objective marker is missing after a crash / game restart
If you are affected by any of these issues following the deployment of TU 1.2.0, please don't hesitate to update this thread so we can take a closer look. Please include a video that shows you have TU 1.2.0 installed, as well as the issue still persisting in-game for you following TU 1.2.0.
The following issues are still under investigation by the development team:
- Bodies to investigate in Roaring Meg's Spring / the sewers are missing
- Status: Under Investigation (additional videos / save games welcomed)
- Comments: This issue has been reported by limited players, but the developers have opened an investigation after receiving an affected save file. Additional videos of the issue and save files would be helpful for them to look further into this. I've asked for an update to see if there is any other information that they require as well.
- Unable to complete the investigation of the three clues
- Status: Under Investigation (additional videos / save games welcomed)
- Comments: This issue remains under investigation, and there are no progress updates to report at the current time. As soon as we receive an update, we'll advise you all of this here.
- Unable to speak to the hospice NPC with the information you need in order to proceed
- Status: Could not be reproduced on TU 1.1.1 (need affected save games to continue investigation)
- Comments: The developers tried to reproduce this issue previously, but could not do so on the previous TU 1.1.1. If you are affected by this issue, they would like to gather your save file for further investigation to take place into this issue.
I would like to share with you all an official update from our teams.
We would like to assure you all that the development team is treating this issue seriously and they are working on a long-term solution. We are also considering a hotfix for this issue. You can read more about what hotfixes are in the Dev Blog, as well as the difference between a hotfix and a title update.
Once we have any new updates to share with you all regarding the missing foreign supplies, we will let you know on our official platforms and within the News & Announcements forum.
Thanks for taking the time to report this within the forums. I've passed these on to the development team to see if they can take a closer look at players being unable to use the PS4 Share Play function following TU 1.1.2.
Once we have any new updates to share, we will post them within this thread. We apologise for any inconvenience caused, and appreciate your patience as we investigate this further.
Thanks for continuing to update this thread. I'd like to reach out to you all with an update, as well as address a few specific posts.
The development team are still looking into missing large flatfish/mackerel. At this moment, we have no new information to share regarding this investigation. Once we have any new information to share with you all, it will be posted within this thread, so please keep an eye out for this!
The team have also been able to replicate the flying fish issue, and are taking a closer look at this as well. From what we can tell, this tends to affect large fish more than any other size. Both myself and @Ubi-Woofer have experienced flying large fish in our own gameplay as well. If you notice any other sizes start flying, please post about this within the thread so we can pass this information on. Thanks!
A few of you have mentioned compensation within this thread. Please note that this is at the discretion of the Assassin's Creed: Valhalla team. If compensation is to be offered to players, this information will be shared on our official platforms and within the News & Announcements forum. Additionally, if a hot-fix is announced, or if an alternative method to get these fish (such as via a fish market or by looting soldiers in River Raids) is made available, this will also be shared within the News & Announcements forum.
@DESCAF - I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble keeping small sturgeon in your inventory. If possible, would you be able to send us a video that shows you catching a small sturgeon and it not staying in your inventory? We can then pass this along to the development team for further investigation.
@erdosifazy & @JCar4327 - Based off what I've seen, it's three regular eels that are required.
I apologise for the delayed response. I'd like to provide you all with an update. The development team are still looking into the missing big fish, as well as the issue that causes fish to float and fold up whilst being caught.
As included in the recent "Known Issues" update, the development team are planning to fix this issue in a future update. We're unable to provide a confirmed ETA for this update at this moment in time. Rest assured that once we have more definite information about when this issue is to be resolved, it will be shared within this thread and in the News & Announcements forum.
In the meantime, as many of you have already seen, the "Stinky but Deadly" challenge has been temporarily removed from the Ubisoft Connect core challenges list, as this currently cannot be completed. This challenge will go live again in the future once it becomes possible to complete. By removing the challenge at this current time, it allows players to fully complete all of the available core challenges without "Stinky but Deadly" preventing 100% completion.
Some of you have mentioned having trouble completing the "Hall of the Slain" core challenge. I'd recommend checking out the video provided by @Ubi-Woofer within this thread for more help! If you have any further questions or concerns about this challenge, please post within the linked thread as this is a separate issue to the missing fish.
@GreenTea13121 - What an awesome, if slightly unnerving, picture! The development team are aware of some fish taking up levitating and contortion as a hobby, and are looking into this further.
@Kil_jaeden87 - We're only able to offer support in English within these forums. Would you be able to provide a translation of your post for us? Alternatively, if you'd like to speak to your regional team you're welcome to open a support ticket or start a live chat.
Thank you @xKingMojox, @amr_hayba12 & @SnowWolfYaBoi for sending your reports from your own experience with this issue. I would like to assure you all that the development team has been investigating this issue further, and they have confirmed that they will be deploying a fix in TU 1.3.0. We don't have a confirmed release date for this update. The development team are targeting an ETA of July 2021.
The development team requires no further reports at this time as they have been able to identify what is causing this issue to happen in-game. We thank everyone who took the time to provide us with more information, as this was helpful for the investigation.
As soon as we have more information to share about the release of TU 1.3.0, we will let you know within this thread and in the News & Announcements forum.

Thanks for sharing the thread created by @TheeElf regarding the Taranis pack, @bielik01. I can see that their report regarding the Taranis pack was forwarded to the development team for further investigation, and could not be reproduced following the release of TU 1.3.1. I've now reopened this investigation with your reports of the Modern Day set no longer showing as an available Settlement Pack after purchasing part of the set (the Web Tree) from Reda. if we require any additional information from you regarding the Modern Day Settlement Pack being unavailable to purchase from the Animus Store, we'll reach out to you within this thread.
The video you've linked appears to have been created before TU 1.3.1 was released. Would you be able to provide us with a new video that shows Hati doesn't show as owned in your Animus Store? In the video, please show that TU 1.3.1 has been installed on your platform by checking for the latest patch notes in the bottom right-hand corner of the main game menu. This will allow us to verify that the issue still persists for you following the release of TU 1.3.1, and we can reopen the investigation with the development team.
Thanks for the update, @qu1ckset, and for letting us know more about what troubleshooting steps you have tried.
Just to clarify, these crashes only occur when World Detail is set to Ultra High only? If so, could you please provide us with some additional information to include in your report to the development team:
- You mention that there are a few locations you can visit in Mercia where the game will consistently crash. Can you let us know what these locations are? This will be helpful for further testing.
- You mention that the crashes are "random." On average, how long can you play for before these crashes occur?
- Would you say these crashes tend to happen more often in "busy" areas, such as during raids and in cities where there are lots of NPCs? It's possible these crashes are happening more commonly when there's a lot of activity happening on-screen, so it would be helpful to know if this matches your experience.
This information will be helpful for the development team when if comes to reproducing the crashes you're experiencing during testing. In the meantime, I would recommend using an alternative setting for World Detail, instead of Ultra High.
Hello there @bahutsauvage!
As shared by @RustyMelvin, these features are working as intended as Vinland is a unique location. You won't be able to collect any animal products (besides leather and rations) from hunting or fishing. Additionally, you cannot bring O Yan Do' Ne's head back with you to Ravensthorpe. You should get a large amount of leather and two skill points for your victory, though!
Thanks for sharing your feedback about having O Yan Do' Ne and the Black Stout available to be mounted in the longhouse, @ETSubmariner. I'll pass your feedback along to the development team for further consideration. If these legendary animals are to become available as longhouse trophies, this information will be shared via patch notes within the News & Announcements forum.
Thanks for the clarification, @bielik01! I just wanted to ensure that I understood your report correctly
The only information I've been able to find out about foreign supplies is that players should be able to loot enough to purchase all items/complete all upgrades before they are shown as "depleted." It hasn't been confirmed what the exact amount is, though, or whether they will automatically become "depleted" once there is no further purchase/upgrades available.
I'll reach out to the development team to see if we can get more information about when Vagn's supplies should become depleted, and whether this is tied to collecting a specific amount of foreign supplies or if it should happen once everything has been purchased/upgraded. Once we have more details to share, we will let you know within this thread.
Hello there @bielik01!
Thanks for opening up a new thread about this. I can see what you mean about it showing "Jomsviking Hall (Level 3) completed," when it was Level 4 that was actually completed. I've passed this along to the development team for further investigation.
I'd recommend keeping an eye out within the News & Announcements forum for any future updates.
Thanks for providing us with that video, @braindeed! I've passed your report to the development team so they can take a closer look at this.
If we require any additional information from you regarding your experience, we will reach out within this thread. In the meantime, please keep an eye out within the News & Announcements forum for any future updates.
No worries, @SpirantCrayon22! I've grabbed a couple of images from my own game and I'll pass them along to the development team. Even though the trees do look different, I can understand how them both being named "Golden Tree" can be confusing. Perhaps we can ask the development team to consider renaming the Dark Knight tree to the Bat Tree
Are you referring to the image shared by @ernypie earlier in the thread, @SpirantCrayon22? In their image, it shows that if they upgrade their cargo capacity, it would increase from 200 to 266 (so an increment of 66). I can't find a mention within this thread of a player receiving 66 foreign supplies from a raided chest, though.
This increment seems to be linked to the known issue of the cargo capacity becoming locked at 200. To my knowledge, the most supplies you can get from a chest at once is 60, and only in areas that are in high alert (as you've found out yourself!). In areas outside of high alert, you should be able to loot supplies in multiples of 50.
I hope this clears up any confusion that has been caused! If you have any further questions about River Raids, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Thanks for sharing your experiences with collecting fabric in-game, @TheNorfolkian & @Kormac67! I'm glad that you've been able to find more fabric within small chests as you've explored more of England, @longjohn119 As shared by @Kormac67, you can also purchase additional fabric from Yanli once you have reached Settlement Level 6, if you are still requiring it for upgrades or altars.
I'd like to take a closer look at your excess fabric, @TheNorfolkian. Would you be able to send some screenshots or a short video which shows the following:
- The amount of fabric you have collected in-game.
- Your completed ration and quiver upgrades.
- That you have completed Dobby's Altar. If you have completed all of the mysteries in Eurvicscire, then an image showing the completed mystery bar would be excellent.
We can then forward this to the development team to check if you should be able to collect more than the required amount of fabric.
Hello there @bielik01!
Thanks for the update. Just to confirm, have you also fully upgraded the Jomsviking hut? This will also require foreign supplies to upgrade.
Additionally, have you been unable to loot foreign supplies despite Vagn's map showing supplies as plentiful? Or is your concern that you have purchased all available items but that foreign supplies seem to remain available to loot without an apparent purpose? This clarification will help us to ensure that we're reaching out to the development team about the specific trouble you've encountered.
