Hello Riders.
First of all, an apology is in order: we’re sorry for the lack of communication lately. It was always our initial plan to post at least two community updates per month and regularly both acknowledge ongoing issues and what’s being done about them, as well as tease the future and show you that we are reading your feedback day in and day out. We haven’t stopped listening, but somewhere along being so caught up in improving Riders Republic and fixing issues, we stopped reaching out to you and that’s on us.
The reason for our continued silence, believe it or not, is that we’ve been hard at work on preparing for the future of Riders Republic. Let us say this: we are not going anywhere. The Riders Republic support has absolutely not been stopped, in fact we’re excited to keep working on your feedback and prepare Year 2 of Riders Republic. We aren’t going anywhere, and we hope you aren’t either!
So, with our next big update (the second part of Winter Bash) coming on Tuesday, February 8th, we’ve gathered all you need to know in one place! It’s a bit long but we think it’s worth it.
Winter Bash was our first big post-launch update to celebrate the winter season on December 14th. While the team worked hard to create an amazing experience in the Republic, we know that there were some issues that plagued that experience. It’s important to us that we let you know that, not only are we aware of these issues but, that we have also fixed some and have more fixes that will go live in our next update for others. For the future, we’ve put a renewed focus on testing to make sure that when we release new updates, we do so with the best build possible.
The X Games “live event”:
With the announcement of the X Games Event coming to Riders Republic, the community received this with amazing hype and grand expectations, and at the event’s launch, we saw your feedback that what you were met with was far from what you had hoped for, and that is on us. We should have better communicated with you all as to what would come with this event to tailor expectations and continue the level of transparency we’ve showcased in previous Community Updates. In the future, we’ll be more careful about when to use the words “live event”, but more importantly, you can expect live events to happen in the future on the scale that YOU expect them to be. More info about those soon.
With Winter Bash Part 2, several significant changes will go live in Riders Republic. Those include:
We’ll also have new content, of course, throughout Winter Bash Part 2:
We’ve read your threads, watched your videos and we know that, among the many things you want to see added or improved in Riders Republic, these are among the top requests. Well, the team has been hard at work on prioritizing and organizing our resources so we can deliver on them as soon as possible. Some things WILL take more time than others for a variety of reasons, but that does not mean we aren’t working on them.
Believe it or not, this is just the start. We’ve barely talked about what’s coming this Summer, let alone next year. We love the community that’s forming around Riders Republic and want to create a game you can not only enjoy but be proud of. We’re not only committed to supporting Riders Republic, but also to improving the frequency at which we talk to you, the players, for example via monthly AMAs from the dev team, bi-monthly community updates, and more.
Thank you again for reading our (very long) community update. We can’t wait to read your reactions and see you in the Republic!
Hey Riders!
We’re back in town for a new Community Update! Let’s dive in directly!
Some of you reported some issues when you are trying to join a multiplayer mode. Where you’re facing either a desynchronization or you end up having the error ELK-3.
We do hear you and the team is actively investigating this issue. And we’re very thankful for everyone who reported this!
Some of you are already familiar with the Open Forum, but for the new riders, here’s an explainer: whenever we’re looking for feedback on a specific topic that we’re not seeing a lot of chatter on, we’ll prompt you to do so in the comments of the update directly.
Please, always do so respectfully and constructively, while still sharing your honest thoughts.
In the previous Open Forums, we asked your opinions on Sponsor Contracts, and any ideas you thought could enhance the free-roam and open-world experience.
We cannot thank all of you enough who share their thoughts, and we are looking forward to this one! The feedback you have shared has been invaluable to the team, they’re thankful!
This week’s Open Forum topic is the ShackDaddy Bandits’ weekly challenges.
How do you feel about the objectives and the rewards?
Do you think they are too quick to complete or too long? Too easy or too hard?
What are your thoughts about the challenge costs?
Would you like anything more from them? Anything thing else you want to share about the weekly challenges?
Don’t shy away from any ideas you have, and please use the tag #RROpenForum in your reply to make it easier for us when gathering your feedback!
Thank you once again for helping us with your answers!
See you next time and don’t forget, the new Mass Races is only two weeks away, starting the 15th of June!
Hey Riders, you know what time it is!
We have a new Open Forum but before we give you the mic, we would like to keep you in the loop on some topics!
Juggernaut
We communicated on that subject a week ago, but we want to make sure everyone gets the message! We are aware that the Juggernaut is currently harder to move around the arena. This is not a nerf and the team is actively working on bringing the juggernaut in its original state.
Once again, thanks for everyone who reported it!
Ragdoll mechanic
You also noticed the ragdoll mechanic changed. This is also not intended, as it is currently preventing some challenges to be completed correctly. And we are looking to deliver a fix as soon as we can so you can roll through the finish line!
Green Game Jam
Project Phoenix won the Media's Choice Award for the Playing For The Planet's Green Game Jam 2022! You can find all the other participants and their Incredibles ideas on the Green Game Jam 2022 website.
While we are still working on Project Phoenix, Project Rebirth is right around the corner. More info on this one very soon!
Special Mass Race
We know we already spoke about them a few times, and we know you can’t wait to try the no collision. However, the no collision mass race won’t be the only one will be testing during the Summer Break season. We will also let you try another specialized mass race where everyone has the same gears.
Once again, we are looking for your honest feedback after you’ll be able to try them.
Open Forum
And here’s the main event of this update!
For the new riders joining us, this is the opportunity for everyone to share their thoughts on a specific topic.
Please, always be respectful of others’ answers and share yours constructively and honestly.
The entire Riders Republic team is very thankful for all your incredibly valuable feedback.
This time, the topic is about the gear.
How do you feel about them in general?
How you do you like unlocking them from the beginning to a full collection? About their aspects or their balance?
Would you like them to have more options? Or functionalities?
Are there any new gear brands you'd like to see featured?
Now, you have the floor! Please, use the tag #RROpenForum in your reply to make it easier for us when gathering your feedback!
Thank you, as always, for all your participations.
See you in the next update!
Hello @anamwy and sorry it took this long to come back to you.
I really appreciate you took the time to raise those accessibility points. I made sure to share them to the team.
We do try to make our games accessible to everyone, and it's thanks to feedbacks like yours that we can improve on this aspect.
Hello Riders!
It's time for another Community Update, and we'll be talking about the new patch that rolled out yesterday.
Some of you reported issues, and we're very thankful for your help, so let's address them directly.
You noticed your tricks might reset when transferring between rails. We know this negatively impacts you because it reduces your score and increases the number of tricks you're doing, which is problematic when you have only a limited number of tricks possible.
Thanks to players who have raised this, we are now investigating.
We're seeing a few posts talking about a contract not working, asking you to steal lightning bolts in Showdown. We know you’re all rockstars in the arena and are meeting the conditions, therefore we are checking what the problem could be as we speak.
If you explored the menu since the update, you may have noticed the ShackDaddyBandits Challenges changed to be more visible flexible and are now known as the Weekly Challenges.
You probably also noticed the challenges from the previous week were reset yesterday. This was not meant to happen. We're looking into this as well as a compensation for the impacted players.
To make sure you can join the FFA playlist events, we reduced the number of required players to 6. We made this change as an experiment to improve waiting time. Let us know what do you think of this change.
We know the error is still happening. And we’re actively investigating this one. If you want to double check your connectivity, please reach out to the Ubisoft Support.
We changed the way boosting works to better reflect the intended game design. While we tried to address it in this update, we noticed two things: some players quickly found a way around it, and it’s a very heated topic.
Some of you were using this extensively, while others didn’t agree with this play style. We’re discussing this topic internally, and taking all your feedback in account.
But we’d appreciate if this discussion remains civil and constructive. And please, refrain from any form of brigading.
Phew. We know it is a lot, but it's thanks to all of you that we can address and discuss those points.
We can now speak about some lighter topics!
Waiting for multiplayer events in the Ridge is now a slam dunk! You can now do your best trick inside a basketball hoop! And well keep experimenting for you to have fun inside the Ridge!
We can’t wait to see all the tricks you’ll do with those, and let us know what you think!
The new track, Zion's Hill, is now available. Look forward to diving through some hills, then splashing in a river gorge, before rushing to the end of the race. Let us know what you think about this new track, and we hope you’re ready for the futures ones!
Don’t forget the Warrior Mass Races are coming in July. Are you ready to face their new challenges? What do you think the gates will do this time?
And finally, we hope you’re still looking for the special Mass Races with no collision test during the summer! We can’t wait to hear your feedback about those!
We added a new filter for the photo mode! Here you’ll be able to display your allegiance to either the Raven Klaws, or to the Kodiaks! It’s a fierce battle between the two teams, so make sure to share your screens with us, and to show the world which one is the best!
And that’s it about this update, but we wanted to let you know, we're seeing everything you're discussing.
Thank you once again for being a great community, and stay hydrated!
See you soon!

You know the drill by now, so here is a new Community Update to keep you informed about what the Riders Republic team has in store for you. This one took a bit longer than anticipated to get out, so without further ado, let us get into it.
No, Riders Republic is not abandoned, far from it, and while this new season had a big focus on the new Showdown Mode, if you’re more about riding solo, new content tailored to you is also coming (like the Leaderboards, the BMX career, new weekly challenges and rewards, and more). It is the team’s vision for Riders Republic to be a social space with at its core the riding experience and player interactivity, with regularly added new content.
The team is actively working on a lot of cool things, but also listening to your feedback and using it to improve the game. Some things take longer than others to change. We’ll strive to keep you updated on what to expect and when to expect it with every community update.
We have seen a few comments from players who have been confused about the naming of the seasons, the BMX launch date, and our overall Year One plan milestones. Let us clarify everything.
We love to see you discuss what you like and dislike about the new Showdown Mode, how you’d like to see Clans improve, and what you want from session markers. We’ll continue to keep an eye on your thoughts and share them with the team to improve the experience!
Regarding wheelies, stoppies and manuals, we’re happy to see many of you loving that latest addition to Riders Republic, but you wish they could count as part of combos/tricks and get points. This is planned to come with the BMX season. Stay tuned!
As you know, Mass Races are an ongoing, evolving topic as we fine tune the formula based on our data, your feedback, and the game’s creative vision.
What do you think about this no-collision test? Are you looking forward to it? Are you dreading it? Let us know in the comments below.
If you were also wondering when you'll be able to start the chase, it's coming very soon, as in next week!
We strive to read every single Twitter comment, Reddit thread, Discord post and more. As such, we have seen that many questions and criticisms about our User Creation features have been posted. So, here is a rundown of two of the most asked questions and our answers.
We also wanted to thank every one of you who took part in the Open Forums. Your feedback about the Sponsors, as well as the open world experience, was very valuable. This feedback is already directly impacting how the team is working on improving the game.
Our next Open Forum – which will most likely take place in the next few weeks – will be about Weekly Challenges. Be sure to prepare your thoughts!
We also have not forgotten about the AMA with the dev team. We are still working on setting that up and ask for a bit more patience as we prepare for it.
The team is working on a lot of new content for the weeks, months and seasons to come:
Regarding Leaderboards, we’re happy to share a first look!
Get ready: prepare your skills to climb up the rankings!
And on the topic of BMX, we’ll make sure to tease it before its release, so you can know what to expect ahead of time. We’re looking forward to sharing more about BMX as we get closer to its release.
That’s it for May’s Community Update!
As usual, we will keep an eye on the replies to this, and we will see you all very soon in the coming weeks for the next Open Forum?
See you in the Republic, Riders!

To get the Jumbo Bike you either need to have the year pass 1, or to buy it in-game.
