You guys really are pathetic, you marked as solved, the topic that had the most posts and people that are frustrated with this blurry texture and HD texture pack issue. What is wrong with you? Why do you treat your paying customers this way? We will not be silenced until you fix these issues so we can enjoy the game. Stop posting generic comments that help no one because your boss tells you to. People have waited a month and a half and this game still isn't fix.
Still no Fix over a week later.... Oh but they did do a hotfix patch for xbox for language issues....... this is a joke.
@x666nex Oh but its not a bug remember? Our high-end gpus just aren't good enough....... This is all just a joke, they arent going to fix it, they arent going to make the hd texture pack work with nvidia gpus. They locked everyone out, they don't care, which is why this week I made the choice not to buy Riders Republic which is a game myself and two of my buddys were waiting to play. But we made the call that until Ubisoft change what they do for pc, we arent buying anymore of their games.
After the hotfix last night, it was the first time I ever got the message that there was not enough gpu ram when I turned on HD Textures. Again regardless, it was blurry. With it off it is not as bad as before, but why the hell are you people locking us out from the HD textures. Marvels GOTG just released yesterday, on my 3080 FE I have everything maxed in that game and it is graphically more impressive, so Im confused is Ubisoft trying to be the first company to make our cards obsolete? Fix this damn problem, fix the hd pack and the requirement, or me and a hell of a lot of people on this forum will make sure this is the last game we ever purchase from you EA...... uhhhh I mean Ubi-screw the gamers-soft.
@akira1364 We are now 6 days from a month since release. They aren't going to make the game playable as intended for current gen card owners. Plain and simple they locked us out. I think you should look all that up and show how stupid this all is. Also, if you look at the Ubisoft reps recent post, they have a fix coming but as usual he says the same line all the time , "Please note that if you are using a GPU with anything under 12GB VRAM, you will not be able to use the pack correctly. This is part of our minimum requirements. If you have less that 12GB of VRAM available, we would recommend uninstalling the HD texture pack. You can do this by checking the "Owned DLC" section for an uninstall button. If this option isn't there, you will need to upload your save file to the Cloud in New Game, then uninstall the game. Afterwards, reinstall the game, making sure not to select the HD Texture Pack, and then download your game save from the Cloud.
If you have over 12GB VRAM but under 16GB VRAM, please lower your graphics settings to 'High.'".
This is bullcrap. This is proof of a lock out. This is also saying to every current gen card owner, that almost no one can hit max settings. People, please wake up and call out this company for the bull they continue to pull with all of us. Over the last year in games think about games that came out looking way better than this, with all the bells and whistles, and ran max settings in 4k at 60 fps. This is watchdogs legion all over again, and excuses to not fix it. Lets remember with Legion, they made a few patches and then said we believe it is in great shape now and it still had massive frame issues.
My guarantee, the patch that comes will not fix the issues completely, and they will continue to lock most out of HD Textures. This is a pipe dream, but maybe you should offer us all refunds because at this point we waisted our time and money.
Time for my check in again, and surprise we are now two weeks in without word or patch from Ubisoft. I have a 3080 FE from nvidia, I payed over $900 for this card. And here come Ubisoft, "welp I got an idea, how bout we screw all those who bought new gen cards?" This all has officially become a joke! 11GB, 16GB? What a crock, anyone remember any of the recent Resident Evil games? You can max those games, well over your card vram and still run them at 60FPS, and guess what there were no graphical issues. I see some on here that feel the same, some who have amd cards and dont really care because its not an issue for them, and I see some who are just on here to fix the problem, which is all the same, disable the hd textures. Point is we should not have to, if this was five or six years from now, yeah maybe. Plain and simple, this company has spit on gamers one too many times in the last few years and I'm not surprised it continues with this game. Thanks for taking our 60+ dollars for a game that does nothing special and has issues running on high end rigs, we really appreciate it!
@tanktop_tarou We are tired. Been here since day one and when we get a response the company makes the support staff say the same stuff on repeat. Well over a month and nothing but the same message or silence will do that to people.
It is despicable that people who are well over the requirements for this game, especially those with 3080s which are only about a year old now, can not run this game at max settings with HD textures. It disgusts me that UBI would lock out anyone who actually got their hands on new cards this last year. All for what? Sponsorship? Hell Resident Evil Village, which is a better game by the way, used upwards of 12 GB of vram. But it still ran great with everything maxed because it used shared system Vram like most other games, this is just ridiculous that you treat us this way. I refuse to play this game until this issue is addressed, many have asked for refunds, and several have boycotted buying your games because you refuse to release on certain launchers. Enough of the crap, stop screwing your customers, otherwise I hope you disappear like those before you who went the same routes till everyone had enough!
@devilkazuya83 Imagine if this company didn't spit all over its fans with every game lately. I would like them to explain how and xbsx and a ps5 are running these textures. Now some will say well hey they have more gb of vram, but if you look at the comparisons with a 3080 against those systems it doesn't need more because it is way faster ram. Plus do not forget the extra vram your computer puts in with the gpu, which to be fair not a lot of developers have found a way to utilize it well. The point is the 3080 is more powerful than those consoles yet they can run it. Yes the consoles aren't using raytracing. But thats still the problem. PC users can turn off raytracing and we still can't use the pack. Now I haven't played in about a week and I only checked out the hotfix, but I did play a little with the hd textures off, but who with a modern high end rig would want to play with them off? I totally get when games are made for new gen hardware, but anyone who has bought a 30 series or AMDs recent gpus have new gen hardware and now we are being told that its not good enough??? I agree with @Akira1364 when he said that it isn't the support staff fault. But then he tells us something that never crossed my mind....... Why was the benchmark so fine tuned and had none of the blurry textures? More than likely it was made shortly before AMD slipped some cash in, the benchmark should have been the game that we got! Think about that, think of how shady the games industry has been lately. We have become nothing but this industries bottomless wallet and its really depressing to think about it that way, but its becoming more true by the day....
@ubi-borealis Your minimum requirement is crap! You have locked out several people who recently bought new top of the line gpu's from experiencing this game as intended. Fix the game, fix the hd texture pack or is it too much to ask you people to do your job and optimize for those who dont have AMD cards? But you got our money right, so who cares?

Been on this forum since day one, this last weekend I finally uninstalled the game. A month and a half, nothing. This isn't the end everyone, just wait till they tell us that they are no longer making single player because people don't like them. You Ubisoft, I now hate more than EA and Activision. You treat your employee's like garbage, not surprised that you treat your customers that way as well. This is the exact reason why you will continue to lose sales and your customer base. Shame on you, shame on how you treat us all.....

So my theory about locking out gpu's is seemingly true. For a few minutes I actually witnessed what the game looks like with the HD Texture pack. Then it went back to crap. Glad they could prove us all right, the programing sucks, and they probably recommend cards with higher ram so they don't have to fix the obvious video memory leak going on. If you couldn't use a 3080 it wouldn't magically work for a few minutes after a patch, it would continue to be the same regardless. Fix the damn textures and fix the damn HD texture pack because now we know your full of crap!!!
Hey everyone, Not making any promises but I reached out to Rich at ReviewtechUSA to let him know about this after seeing the patch notes that fix nothing. I hope he sees what I wrote to him and we can get this blown up in a big way. Enough is Enough Ubi!
Oh hey everyone just wanted to mention, there is a new patch launching soon they posted about a half hour ago. Guess what? No fix for the bug here in the forum that has the most views and replies.

People, People........ Slow down and give them time...... They have priorities, first they lock out players from getting the full experience of the game who bought new gpus in the last year and a half, then they had to get out that all important hotfix, and today they had to patch the ubisoft launcher so that when you go to the game page for Far Cry 6 it has yellow text and a yellow play button. So lay off, their is way more important things to be done than unscrewing the gamers to be able to enjoy the game. Now go out and pay 10,000 on ebay for a 6900xt from AMD so you can run the game properly. Please make sure though that it is an AMD card and not Nvidia...
