I have the same issue as you all. The tearing is so frequent that it's hard to ignore. I'm sure a patch will fix it. Hope we won't have to wait too long
@b00msie After they gave us the choice to play at 30fps with higher graphics settings and no tearing, I never touched the performance mode again. I highly doubt that this issue will be adressed, ever. Interestingly fenyx rising also has tearing when played at 60fps. Both games are using the anvil engine and suffer from the same issues on the series x, including the ps5. No other game at 60fps has tearing issues, just these two. Maybe a problem within the engine?
My question is : Why does the SX doesn't use full vsync? The PS5 runs flawless with it enabled. Both console's performance is pretty similar..Doesn't really make sense to me. Dear developers, why did you make this descision causing that much issues on the Series X?
Once again another Ubi game with tearing issues. Valhalla, Immortals, FC6, WD Legion, now Rider's Republic. What's the problem, Ubi? Do you think everyone will buy a VRR TV (VRR doesn't elimitnate tearing completely, btw) the next day, just because you still can't get rid of this problem? And no, I won't waste my time to send you any videos because you will never fix it. Just look at AC Valhalla, for example. Really disappointed.

@logienufc I expect this issue never ever to get fixed. Look, the game is out since Nov '20 and the tearing issues still persist. Even people with a VRR TV report about it. The only way to enjoy the game is to play it in quality mode, imo. It's a shame that AC Valhalla and Immortals Fenyx Rising are the only games that suffer from this issue when played in 60fps (PS5 included). No wonder that a quality mode was implemented in both games.

Well, it is not the first time this happened. I remember AC Origins where the graphics were downgraded on the ps4 pro /one x to solve minimal performance issues (30 fps). Honestly, I was expecting this to happen with the new update and play the game in quality mode now. Back in the days, when it was suddenly announced that the game would run at 60fps, I wrote a comment that if this happens, we will see tearing and framerate dips on the series x. Funny, huh?
Since the new update arrived my choice was to stick with quality mode.Sadly, the tearing is still present on the Series X and PS5 in performance mode, which was a little disappointing.Well, after switching to quality mode, I saw the real beauty of the game. The higher resolution, draw distance, texture quality, shadow quality, foliage density, and so much more, are a truly stunning. Performance mode already looked pretty but this looks freakin' awesome. Yeah, it is not 60fps but a rock solid 30 without any stuttering, hick-ups or tearing and a visible overall better image-quality are more pleasing to my eyes, than an unstable framerate with annoying tearing instances most of the time and also pared back visuals. So, for me it is quality >performance. What about you, guys?
In the patch there's nothing mentioned about a concrete fix(!) for the tearing issue. That means that tearing should not be that much visible than before (series x/s). That doesn't mean that is completely eliminated. I guess further optimization is needed and more patches will arrive within time. The PS5 had/has these issues, too.
I really hope there's already a patch in the works. The Series X version of the game is just running "ok". There's massive screen tearing which get's even worse when just holding a torch. Cutscenes stutter, the framerate under circumstances can dip to 48fps or worse. There are many bugs and so on and so on. I was hoping for a good and smooth experience on day one and I got 'this'. I don't understand how it was possible to release this game as some sort of 'next-gen entry' as a launch title for the Series X. Please sort these things out, you and we know you can do MUCH better than that.

The tearing absolutely destroys the beauty of the game for me. It appears too often to ignore it. The PS5 hasn't these issues because it has vsync enabled. It seems the SX is running the game with adaptive vsync. Both consoles perform well and hold a very stable framerate. Please add it with a patch and many SX owners will be happy️
