@ebonzone This was a big issue for me in Odyssey as well. For some reason, they seem to think that the more gold in your armor and weapons, the better/more elite it is. Putting aside the fact that gold is a very soft metal and would be a detriment to any functional armor or weapon, this is supposed to be Assassin's Creed, not "please don't notice the guy shining like the sun".
I'm not saying everything has to be black either. There are plenty of earthy colors, various shades of browns for leathers and flat grays for metal bits. Maybe add in a bit of bluish hue to the metals as they go up in quality to simulate the transition from iron to carbon steel. I really wish they could get away from the idea that because something is a better quality, that it has to stand out more.
The mechanic for using previous versions of items is already in the game for your Jomsviking, so hopefully this feature will be implemented for the character really soon.
