@ubi-theberry We have been there before. You're just spamming the same "troubleshooting" stuff. We all tried that already and IT DOES NOT WORK.
Freezes / Crashes are completely random. I just played for 3 hours straight with no crash. Sometimes there are like 3 or 4 crashes one after another after just a few minutes of gameplay. Other times the game is stable for hours.
Apparently there is a memory leak. We want to know what are the DEVS doing about that and when we can expect a FIX.
I bought it a few months ago. Started playing a few days ago.
Sometimes I can play for hours and sometimes it crashes every few minutes.
No errors or anything, just "Suspended" in taskbar manager.
@UbiSushiVamp @Ubi-Orion @Ubi-Nacho @ubi-theberry Stop relying on players to find half baked (may or may not be working) workarounds and pretend like it is the first time you have heard about this problem.
What are devs doing about this? When can we expect a fix? When can we play the game we paid for?
Hard to believe that it is still an issue. Thank you Ubisoft for covering such beautiful graphics with vaseline and pi$$ filter.
Guys what worked best for me are two things (I am playing on native 2560x1440):
1. Setting Anti-aliasing to low and resolution scale to 110%. Most of the jaggies are gone. If you have powerful PC you can pump up resolution scale further. I tried editing game's executable to disable TAA (https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Assassin%27s_Creed_Valhalla: (https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Assassin's_Creed_Valhalla)) but there were too many jaggies.
2. If you have NVIDIA cards enable Game Filter through Geforce Experience overlay. Choose "Details" filter and set it like this:
Sharpen - 20 % (or whatever looks best for you)
Clarity - 100 %
HDR Toning - 0 %
Bloom - 0 %
Vaseline be gone !
I use the same filter in almost every game since almost every modern game have this blurry, yellow filter even when you disable bloom in options like there were some worldwide conspiracy among game developers to stop us from appreciating good graphics.
I am playing on PC with mouse and keyboard and after 1.2.2 update I can't talk to anyone or interact with anything. I am using "F" for primary interaction. It works if I remap it to other key but it is unplayable for me because all my life I have been using "F" for interaction/talking.
Yesterday it crashed after 5 minutes of gameplay. Started again and it froze when loading. Started again and played for about 2 hours with no crash.
Today I started a game and played in peace for more than an hour than it crashed and two more times after a few minutes.
This is laughable and makes absolutely no sense.
"Suspended" in Taskbar Manager every time. What does that even mean? Usually when something crashes of freezes you have nothing in Taskbar or "not responding". It is the first time I have seen "Suspended".
Fix it Ubisoft so we can play the game we payed for.
I came back to this game after a few months break. I get "new quest" and "multiple quests accepted" notifications constantly. Sometimes even every few seconds. It seems to be the case only when there are "Avenge Quest" nearby which got me thinking... why there is not an option to disable them in the first place.
There is no better way to immerse yourself in 9th century England and role play as conquering Viking / Assassin as constantly seeing "avenge stupidAdHd9yearOld69yourmama@". Thank you Ubisoft. Why not slap equally stupid avatar picture on the screen at the same time while you're at it? Is it still Assassin's Creed game or Fortnite clone already?
I mean I love this series. I played almost all Assassin's Creed games. I love that you try different mechanics and stuff and it breaks my heart to see such advancing infantilization of the series.

It crashes for me as well. It is completely random. Sometimes I can play for hours and sometimes it crashes after 10 minutes or so.
Although it is not as frequent as Division 2 crashes.
My today's sessions summary:
5 minutes of gameplay - crash
20 minutes of gameplay - crash
3 hours of gameplay - NO crash
20 minutes of gameplay - crash
5 minutes of gameplay - crash
3 minutes of gameplay - crash
10 minutes of gameplay - crash
2 hours of gameplay - NO crash
Can you guys do similar statistics of your experience and post it?
@SOOPS-00
Has there ever been a time when you had no crashes at all?
Like I mentioned before, after update 1.14... (after scythe and one handed sword) I have had no crashes.
I have been on this LOOP before, one update - crashing randomly, another update - no crashes, another - crashing again.
I swear that just a few months ago (after the scythe and one handed sword was introduced (update 1.14.something)) there were NO crashes for me.
I came back about a week ago (update 1.15.something) and random crashes to desktop are BACK AGAIN in their full glory.
What is going on @UbiSushiVamp??? Have devs even identified the problem or what?
Fishing with bow never gets old. If only game did not randomly crash (again, it seemed to be stable a few months ago when I last played it).
Wait... there are players who actually use fishing line? Mental.
@bielik01
I stand surprised and corrected.
Can you tell if you really died in that place or was it only your name but randomly placed corpse?
@bielik01
Guys, it was never the case of real people dying in game. It were only random corpses placed in random spots with randomized names.
Randomly generated - nothing else.
I am happy that I am not seeing any avenge quests anymore. There were times, not very long ago when they would pop up constantly.
I even had nightmares when they would appear in my dreams with Reda's voice announcing them. Now I am glad they are gone.
Thank you Ubisoft. Do not fix that.
@spiralings
I have been installing all my games on SSD for years. Still Valhalla sometimes crashes and Division 2 even more often.

@ubi-borealis
Problem was fixed with 1.4.0. Thank you.
@wildhunt
Do not buy it again or it will glitch.
