Re: [Assassins creed Valhalla won’t start up - Xbox one x](/topic/77884/assassins-creed-valhalla-won-t-start-up-xbox-one-x)
I've got a similar problem: I'm 190+ hours in to Valhalla, and aside from some problems with things like Ubisoft Connect, it's been okay. But, now, on top of glitches and whatnot, the disc doesn't play. It goes to the green screen with the assassin's symbol, freezes for a few seconds, then kicks me out and asks if I own the game. I've tried the troubleshooting suggestions from Xbox, Ubisoft, and Microsoft, and tips on forums, but nothing works! I tried other games, 360 and One, and everything works except AC games. Odyssey wouldn't work either, or Origins, but every other AC game and all of my others work fine. My system works fine. Everything is fine... except if I want to finish Valhalla any time soon.
Help? Suggestions? Anybody?
(Sorry if I'm not posting in the right spot.)
For several weeks now every time I play Valhalla I've been unable to access Reda's contracts, unable to collect opals, unable to access the owned section of the store, because it says either there is an online service error or unable to access Connect. Funny thing is, my internet and Xbox are working fine and I can access Ubisoft Connect from my dashboard just fine.
I've contacted them several times about this and all they tell me is to check the internet connection and turn it on and off, basically. Everything is fine. Other games, even other Assassin's Creed games, work fine. Connect works fine on my dashboard. This wasn't a problem until one of the patches came out and it immediately stoped working. Not sure what to do at this point.
I had the same problem. I used the two oil jars, threw them at the cart, but then nothing. The guy just stood there and wouldn't talk. But I eventually walked a few feet away, towards the road, when he said something about not being able to bear the guilt and before I could even get back to him he used the fire on the cart to set himself ablaze. He collapsed dead and the mystery was concluded. This wasn't bugged for me I just couldn't figure out the right action without getting help, so maybe try this if you're having trouble.
