@heli0n_prime no as they never said you could connect PC to console .. thats not possible as it needs a totally different network

ie Playstation versions use the play station network

X bos versions use the microsoft subscription service

PC uses UBI connect

yes PS4 users can play with PS5 USERS on play station network

yes Xbox one and and players on the new X box X can play together on the Microsoft Network X box subscription service

PC users can play with other PC users via ubi connect

so no they did not lie about anything at all

@dm_2021 no what they mean is X box users can play on X BOX the two different current consoles

ie X BOX X and X box ONE consoles

PC uses a different API so no you can not play X box to PC

@superpksr enemy helicopters have bullet proof windshields use a upgraded rocket launcher ..they go down easy

have not tried explosive arrows yet gotta try those later

remember you can press tab and change your loadout at any time . to load a different weapon if you need one by clicking arsenal

and use other weapons you already have unlocked

but yes if you capture an enemy chopper you will see yes some do indeed come with bullet proof windshields

hence one shot will not work on the pilot

but i think the launcher itself ( UBI CONNECT ) likes to be on the same drive as windows

sounds like you have a bad install ? did the patch here on PC last night

loaded up UBI CONNECT (let it update FC 6 ) and everything works fine when the game said it needed a patch i went and cooked dinner ..walked away from my PC them when it was done loaded the game .. works fine

so yes verify your game files FIRST after any PATCH

thats the same card i have .. i use an EVGA 3060 XC gaming 12 gig card

use ddu for best results and clear out any old drivers ..and do not use the ones windows provides

i just was playing FC 6 with zero problems on my RTX 3060 gpu 15 min ago

@LeLoT3 same once in a while it will not show roads after i pick a destination to drive to / or fly /BOAT to .. restarting the game always fixed it

also check to see if you have a main game mission active ..you can press TAB on PC to check if you have a mission active un check it and see if that helps

as that my be throwing some thing off

also what GPU do you have in your PC and how much dedicated vid ram is on it .. and it your system a LAPTOP or a desktop system ?

just curious as a use a 12 gig RTX 3060 and i have seen this issue come up on the forums many times since the game shipped

if its under an 11 gig card do not install the HD texture package seems to help

Hello reaxion, thanks for sharing your experience of this.

The thread you commented on is an older thread, but since then I have opened an investigation into this crashing map editor issue, that appears to only affect the Steam version of the game.

This is under investigation now, but I believe that normal troubleshooting will not fix this issue. There are player workarounds for this at the moment that involve editing your registry file for the game, but we must advise caution when attempting something like this.

We will do our best to keep the forums updated, should the team looking into this possibly come up with a permanent fix to this issue in future.

this issue is not new it started back in 2019 with fc 4

i traced it back to a patch you goofed up on for FC new dawn in 2019 on STEAM

you also at the same time for rid of the FC4 maps site.... in favor of FC 5 .. i guess since FC 5 was also moved to legacy games that will get dropped too soon >?

far cry 6 Ultimate edition takes up 130 gb CURRENTLY ..on my main SSD on PC

did you buy standard ?

gold or what version >? ..dunno as i bought mine direct from ubi connect

also please when you verify any game install that larger like even 60 gig .. do not use your PC till its done verifying your game files .. yea i know it takes time on a slow connection ..the game i can tell you is indeed huge

@s0cial_knighT quick question for you that may help resolve your problem

did you by any =chance try to run the far cry 4 map edit program with your steam copy ? if so please know that's been busted for over 2 years

once ya open the far cry 4 map editor with a stem copy it'll brick your game

luckily Steve 64 B made a reg fix /zip file that seems to correct the problem for many users

Steam changes the install paths for many UBI games ..some how it adds a reg entry that no longer works

Steve 64B's fix removes the bad reg entry on a steam copy

i posted about this issue for years ever since it popped up back in March 2019 in the far cry 4 forums ..as did others with a way to manually fix it ..Steve 64 B came up with a quick fix to remove the bad reg entry ..without the user having to try to poke into a windows registry

AGAIN USE THE FIX AT YOUR OWN RISK >>AND ONLY IF YOU opened the FAR CRY 4 MAP editor..and then your game would no longer load

as sadly you need to re run the fix every time after opening the map edit program

no clue why its wacked for a steam copy // a ubi connect only copy DOES NOT HAVE THIS ISSUE

i think it due to the fact steam changes the install paths as well as steam copies update files in a different way as far as DLC and install paths

again credit goes to Steve 64 b for making the fix after the issue popped up back in the steam forums as well as the UBI ones several years ago .. also i did report the issue to UBI support Directly .. and yes they took down the old forum and posts of where i did so

and UBI support sorry i do not remember the exact ticket numer as i never got any response on it
