I tried all of these suggestions, I even went to the atlas on the world map and travelled to Vinland to see if that would help, but still had it showing. While in game I chose to put the hood down and it suddenly reverted to the gear I have been using. Just thought I would say in case that works for anyone else.

I'm playing on the PS4, have the same issue, currently killed 5 of the legendary animals, and none have been displayed in the longhouse. I'm now hoping that once I've killed all of them, that somehow they will all be displayed.
