I was watching

and and I felt like TM02020 doesn t have this "progress" over the years possibility that the other TM has. I didn't play any other TM, so, naturally, I asked on the big discord server.

Kem replied: "main difference is that TMNF has a static campaign whereas in tm2020 it rotates every 3 months, rendering any limit pushing kinda worthless in the game. it's a tradeoff between having a long-standing legacy and keeping the content fresh and engaging," which I 100% agree with. I prefer and encourage the experience of new campaigns every 3 months (4 ideally, with a beta season between, but that s another discussion).

A lot of players responded.

I thought of implementing a system for the old campaigns. If you manage to beat a WR (and ONLY then) from a map of a past campaign, you get a nice trophy. Sure, this would mean that past campaign maps must be tweaked in order to work with current changes (e.g., see the booster change/ice, can t remember exactly), but it would be really fun. I just realized by watching wirtual that the charm of TM is the continous way of improving. You took that from the new TM and it s a shame.

I saw that Miss updated the better chat, update that came with the feature of using the pad to minimize/close the chat. I tried it, didn't work (I use the D-pad for utility binds), reported it on the openplanet discord server. This is when Miss told me I do not need the DS4Windows third party app., because the dualshock 4 is natively supported by the game.

"Nice!" I said to myself. I closed my program, loaded up the game and, to my surprise, the D-pad is unbindable without the DS4Windows software. This might be why the new better chat feature doesn't work for me. I don't know what's up with this, but I can't use the better chat as I would like, so I am asking you to fix it. Is there a technical problem or why are the xbox controllers fully mapable and the dualshock 4 controllers are not, even though they are natively supported?

The new trackmania site is just great, but it could be a little better with just such a small change.
Instead of having the WR's name and flag just inside the profile of the map, make it so it can be seen in the menu as well.

This would give players recognition and it would be another reason to just ignite the "I want to WR" passion.

It's a small change that would be so beneficial!

Hi,

After playing my first royal game ever after the day it launched, I must say it s a lot of fun and, Nadeo, you did a great, great job with the prestige skins.

I have a reason to enjoy it now. Campaign, ranked and totd have trophies beside the skins, but royal has a TON of skins, a TON.

Did you artificially increase the number of hours you have to play royale to get the skins by not letting us choose the team, thus making it, hopefully, more popular? Yes, but it s a nice gimmick being that the game has no other reward system.

This is a start, but, pelase, please, start thinking about a rework of the reward system.

Prestige skins are an S+ addition to the game and a S++ for royal specifically. The AK downfall is a God tier S+++++ . . . +∞ and nothing will take its place though, never forget.

Also, there NEEDS to be something for the creators as well.

I don't know if you are under a different management or what's going on, but, from the fall of AK patch, you are POGGING! Nice patches, frequent patches, communications, new ideas . . . you are doing awesome! Please, whoever is in charge of the game decisions right now have to stay.

@Chris92.evo wrote this for me on discord and it is entirely his and I agree with him 100% (with some adjustments from my part; what is in italics is mine). He doesn't have anything against AKs, but he can see the problem with them clearly.
He suggested me to post any suggestion in this format and I will do by updating this post when I have the time.

With no further ado...

The Deletion of AKs

Why?
The deletion of AKs would make gameplay more complex. They provide unfair advantages MORE than they balance the scale between kb users and pad users.

What will this solve?
First of all, it makes the gameplay loop less complex by requiring the players to remember/press less keybinds and lets them focus on the task at hand (nagivating the map) more.
It would also remove situations where users of action keys are immediately at an advantage to people that do not use them.

If the deletion of AKs does not happen, here's an alternative suggestion for this issue:
Introduce a random variance (15-25%, 35-45%, etc) to the steering angle, not make it static, so you cannot have the perfect steering angle all the time. Why? Humans can't hold an analog stick perfectly in the same place for extended periods either.

The first one I agree with somehow, but people do not respond well to self made objectives, especially when in a game like this. Once their reach their soft cap, they stay there (that's my hypothesis). For the 2nd potential answer, I totally disagree. The only leg this game stands on is the competitiveness sentiment it hooks you with from the start (medals, leaderboard and others). I am of the opinion that this doesn t necessarily apply to below top 100 players (but it could: soft cap top 10), but it surelly apply to all the others. People need a reason to get better."

@spider_hip I totally agree. People on discord usually respond to this argument with "you set your own goals," "why don t you push for top 100 then" and other stuff like these, which are true, but not sufficient for the out of top 10 players.

@namegoeshere_ I somehow agree. I often talk about aks a lot on discord as well :)) In their current state, they are OK and that s only because Nadeo doesn t let you perfect angle stuff anymore, thus the skill difference between an ak amateur player user and a really good player (pro or not) is relevant.

A perfect bobsleigh is done by angling your wheels by 45 degrees. AK2 is 40.
A decent bobsleigh can be done with tap tap as well, but, of course, it s less consistent than using aks.

There was an argument for the 50% steering water bounce as well, but I forgot it. I don t know water.

Again, in the current state, they are OK, but I would prefer them to get deleted. TAP TAP TAP is sufficient and it s actually related to skill and timing, not just timing (aks).

I was fully against aks till last week when a discord user made this pov pop into my had. It s only a preference now. Nadeo did the best they could with the last AK update and it s fine. Good job, Nadeo!

I often talk about this on discord, but I got inspired by @Zurg.tm on discord and decided to make a post here as well.
I consider that the following things would enormously benefit the game:

OVERHAUL:

• THE MOST IMPORTANT: deletion of aks;
• THE 2ND MOST IMPORTANT: Reworked trophy system (relevance, mode of acquiring them, anything);
• fall guys mode;
• ranked mode;
• optimization;
• better trees that do not consume your soul;
• better profile interactions, badges and stuff;
• better club interactions, club events, club battles and so on.

New stuff:

• THE MOST IMPORTANT: additional trophy intervals (for exameple, top 500, top 250, top 50, top 25, top 5);
• permanent campaign (to gain back the feeling from the other TM games; see any TMNF video of Wirtual to understand) - IN ADDITION TO THE SEASONAL CAMPAIGN;
• cyclic modes (see fall guys, fortnite or any other games; added once there are new modes in the game);
• new modes, but less important.
