@echolecter Tell me how long would these players enjoy and stay in the game if a player showed up who couldn't be damaged and couldn't be eliminated and stole all of their items each and every time. This player just walks out into the middle of a group and mows everyone down and there was nothing any of them could do to change this outcome. No matter how many there are and no matter what they did they were immediately eliminated. I think these players would say, "Hey, the game is no fun anymore because every time this player shows up the game is over and he seems to be there each and every time we turn around, we might as well go home". "The way the game is balanced right now that is exactly what is happening and unless something is done to even the odds and make players depend on their skill and not their overpowering weapons and gear there is no reason to even have a DZ for anyone without years of game play behind them. Send them out there with the changes I recommended and if they don't like it then they can leave.
I'm relatively new to The Division, however there is one aspect I find annoying and an area that I've learned to avoid due to the overwhelming disadvantage to a new player. The Dark Zone and Rogue players. The Dark Zone needs to be leveled so all players are on an equal footing and no player has an undue advantage due to the fact they have been playing for years and have geared up to an unfair level. This really does take the enjoyment out of the game and makes it unfair for new players.
1. There should be a setting that restricts a player from going Rogue in DZ 01 - 03 unless they are wearing no Classified Gear, they can only use a sidearm and they must remain Solo.
2. In DZ 04 - 06 no Classified Gear allowed, they must remain solo and they may only use an Assault Rifle or SMG (one or the other, not both).
3. In DZ 07 - 09 anything goes, no holds barred, turn the Rogue players loose and let them run wild.
These changes would make players depend on their skills and not their unfair advantage due to the amount of time they have had to collect weapons and gear, there is no skill involved in this kind of a mismatch. You are in essence allowing pro sports player out onto the field with a bunch of minor league players and you have taken the desire to play and the enjoyment out of the game.
