I agree. Just add an option for the camera zoom to be constantly fixed at the default exploration distance. That would be awesome. Changing the FoW slider is not a solution.
Here is my suggestion: add an option to lock the camera to default exploration distance at all times and add an option for the camera to slightly zoom out when running outside of fights - to give a better overview of the surroundings.
What is the point of preload/preorder if we can't preload and what is the point of release dates/hours if we can't play the game at that time?
FPS seems to be even a bit worse with 1.1.1. CPU utilization never goes above ~60%, GPU utilization hit ~80% for a few seconds, but was mostly at ~60%.
The game is now RELEASED in my time zone. I preordered to preload, but now the game isn't even available AFTER release date.
@bing0k1ng GPU usage should always be at 100%, unless you manually limit the FPS.
I upgraded my graphic card at the same time when 1.1.0 came out and I was shocked that my FPS with identical settings to previous GPU went down (it went up by 3x in all other games), to about 45FPS average from 50FPS average. But increasing the graphic settings to maximum didn't decrease my average FPS at all. CPU and GPU utilization never reach 100% at any point, no matter what, not on a single CPU core.
I am quite early in, but the hard setting (one below hardest) seems quite easy. Easier than in ACO at least.
@iplayzxd The game released in Europe two hours ago, I paid for it ~10 hours ago and I still can't even start downloading it
Same problem here. Can't interact with the alliance map, can't progress in the game. Stuck.
I'd just like to say;
Every recent Ubisoft launch has had some problems. Instead of being able to preload Valhalla (preordered), I had to wait more than one day after release before I was even able to start downloading it. The same goes for the first AC:V DLC.
HOWEVER, the fact that you released some new content (and free!!) for AC:O is great, I would really like to see another paid DLC with an updated graphics engine for this game, I know some games based on the same engine as AC:O got a Dx12 update.
Just please fix these issues first, please!
Same here, no sound on PC. Worked before the ACO update, works in Valhalla.
I am suddenly getting the "this product cannot be activated right now, try again later" error.
@ubi-mark Hi, can you please resolve this issue. I am on PC. Restarting, verifying game files, logging out and running as administrator solved nothing. I bought the Season Pass a few weeks ago.
I preordered AC:Valhalla and instead of being able to preload the game, I was able to start the download around ~12 hours after the game was already out. Same with the DLC, I can't even start the download yet.

I stopped playing a day after release because of all the bugs. I started playing again with patch 1.1.0 and I still got a bug that completely kills the game. Amazing.
I've seen many users on Reddit complaining about this. I finished my first pledge, now I can't interact with the alliance map, so can't progress through the main storyline. I bought the game on release date, but it was too bugged to play, now here I am again...
Also;
Eivor is drunk every time when I load the game
The "A Wise Friend" quest gets stuck, Valka just stops at some point and doesn't move
The Ale Yule quest is completely broken
